The annual Lakeshore Balloon Glow is once again being held in downtown Manitowoc this Friday.
There will be multiple major events including a Webfooters Waterski show at 6:00 p.m., an aerial dance performance at 6:30 p.m., and the balloons will begin to glow around 7:30 p.m. or whenever it gets dark enough.
Finally, there will be fireworks show at around 8:15 pm, depending on when dusk sets in.
Plenty of food trucks will be present throughout the night, most notably, Brian’s Smokehouse, A&W, El Tequila, Holla, Vue’s Thai, Nina’s Pita Hut LLC, and more.
This year, the food truck area has been expanded to both sides of the riverfront.
City of Manitowoc Director of Tourism Courtney Hansen tells Seehafer News the expansion was a nesessity, “we can’t fit all the people in…That’s really the big draw this year. Our big new push is to come down and see the ‘Bigger and Better than ever’ event.”
A shuttle service will once again be offered at no cost at three offsite parking lots.
There will be one at Lincoln High School JFK Fieldhouse, one at Roncalli High School, and one at Faith Church. Shuttles will begin at 4:45 p.m. and the last will depart at 9:00 p.m.
