The Kewaunee Police Department was notified over the weekend that the driver of a motorcycle involved in a crash in that city last Wednesday has died from his injuries.
Police Chief Robin Mueller said in a news release they were informed Sunday that 67-year-old Paul Hirst of Kewaunee had succumbed to substantial injuries from the two-vehicle collision on State Highway 42, south of Terraqua Drive.
The initial investigation shows Hirst was operating the cycle northbound when it struck an SUV being driven by a 71-year-old Racine man at 12:00 pm Wednesday.
The victim passed away Friday at a Green Bay medical facility where he was being treated.
Chief Mueller said the accident remains under investigation by Kewaunee police with assistance from the Wisconsin State Patrol.
