A family tradition is returning to the lakeshore area this December.
After a three-year break, the “Magical Trolley Ride” is back in Manitowoc to bring children and their families the enchantment of the Christmas holiday season.
A news release from the sponsoring organization, CASA of East Central Wisconsin, attendees will board a trolley on Saturday, December 9th and begin the “interactive journey to meet Santa.”
CASA Executive Director Julie Ribley said, “This event creates a one-of-a-kind experience for families bringing the magic of the holiday season to life.”
According to a news release, families will board trolleys at the Mikadow Theater where they’ll receive a copy of a classic Christmas book and a gold ticket.
Along the way, children and their families can join the conductor to sing holiday carols and experience a visit from “a special guest.”
Upon their arrival at the North Pole (or the Inn on Maritime Bay), there are going to be season-related crafts, games, cookie decorating, a ballon artist and the chance to meet Santa Claus.
Tickets must be purchased in advance at $30 per child, ages 1-to-13, and $35 per person ages 14 and up.

The event on December 9th raises funds for CASA of East Central Wisconsin, a local program that provides trained volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children who are under the jurisdiction of the juvenile justice system in Manitowoc and Sheboygan Counties.
In the spirit of giving, a pajama drive is conducted before and during the Magical Trolley Ride.
