The Haven of Manitowoc County is hosting an event at The Wharf this Sunday.
The Sunday “Fund-Day” returns this year from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. in downtown Manitowoc.
Michael Etheridge, the Executive Director of The Haven, spoke on WCUB’s Breakfast Club where he called the event a “time to get The Haven’s name out there as well as raise funds towards our programming.”
There will be bucket raffles, silent auction items to bid on, as well as a 50/50 raffle at the fundraising event.
Etheridge also noted that events such as this are sovital because, “It takes about $150 a day for each guest that we have to house them. We pour everything into our program and into our case management program as well as into our resources that are needed. It’s a big part of building that foundation to help men self-resolve into permanent housing.”
The afternoon will also feature the American Platinum band starting at 2:00, and testimonials from men who have become successful because of The Haven.
They will also have t-shirts and can koozies for sale.
Event details can be found on The Wharf’s Facebook page.
