A 31-year-old Sheboygan man has been charged with attempting to rob a gas station.
Police say they were called to the BP Gas Station 1208 Union Ave Monday morning after the suspect tried to steal cash from a cash register.
After a short scuffle, the suspect fled the scene.
Police Sergeant Kevin Post says the suspect was later found after a School Resource Officer in the area found the suspect and coordinated with Sheboygan Police to take the man into custody.
The cashier received minor injuries, but this is no other threat to the public.
Police are also asking to speak with other witnesses at the gas station who might have seen the attempted robbery.
