We’ve been hearing a lot about the term “climate change” in recent years.
Meteorologist Luke Sampe, a lakeshore native and Channel 5 Meteorologist, was on WOMT’s Be My Guest program Thursday where he urged caution in that regard because it’s political and he tends not to go into that subject area.
“You got half your listeners right now saying it is and half not before I even say a word,” he joked. “If you just look on paper, obviously the temperature globally is going up. But, where I kind of put the brakes on the alarmist talk is if you’re getting your climate information from politicians. I’d probably just throw that out.”
Sampe went on to say that it’s happening, but “Frankly, I think there’s a lot that we’ve got to study on that. As humans, it all comes to being a good steward of this place while we’re here. So, obviously, pollution and all of that goes into consideration.”
He closed by saying, “So, be a good steward (of our natural resources) while we’re here. But, be careful when forming the final conclusion about what it means.”
