Mishicot High School is holding the 50th annual Jim Bremser Memorial Cross Country Invitational on September 21st.
The event was founded by head coach David Kelley in 1974 in honor of the talented runner, Jim Bremser
Bremser was killed when hit by a car the week of Mishicot’s Homecoming in October of 1973.
Jim Bremser’s sister Cindy Bremser was a talented runner as well, as she earned a silver medal in the 1500-meter race at the 1983 Pan American Games before making her Olympic debut in which she went on to take 4th place in the 3000-meter race at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
The Jim Bremser Memorial Cross Country Invitational race will take place at Mishicot Elementary School, with the first race starting at 3:40 p.m.
