There is going to be a new outdoor wheelchair program celebration at Point Beach State Forest in Two Rivers next week on Thursday (September 28th).
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says the program will be from 1-3 p.m. at the Nature Center off of County Highway O.
Multiple outdoor wheelchairs, including motorized all-terrain wheelchairs with tracks as well as manual GRIT Freedom wheelchairs and beach wheelchairs, will be available for attendees to try out.
The DNR explains that motorized wheelchairs can handle all types of terrain including snow and sand.
