The Capitol Civic Centre hosted the annual Miss Harbor Cities and Outstanding Teen competitions on Saturday.
Contestants from across the state competed for prizes and scholarships, along with the opportunity to advance to Miss Wisconsin and Miss Wisconsin’s Teen Competitions next June in Oshkosh.
Jenna Watkins of Mukwonago, a graduate of Waukesha Technical College, was selected Miss Harbor Cities 2024 and winner of a $300 scholarship.
Katherine Vadney, the daughter of Greg and Dianne Vadney of Manitowoc, was chosen Miss Harbor Cities Teen 2024.
Abby Miller of Beloit was runner-up Miss Harbor Cities 2024.
One of the other award recipients was Allison Bender of Manitowoc as Teen People’s Choice winner.
Founded in 2014, the Miss Harbor Cities organization provides scholarship assistance to young women ages 13-to-28, fosters mentorship and professional development opportunities, and supports social impact initiatives in the communities they serve.
Saturday’s event also marked the 10th anniversary of the competition and several former winners were in attendance.
