Manitowoc County Emergency Management Agency Director Kayla Beckerdite is leaving.
She said on the WCUB Breakfast Club that she’ll be taking a job with the state of Iowa, where she’s lived a lot of her life.
Beckerdite has been the emergency management director in Manitowoc County for about a year.
She says it’s been great working with the police and fire departments and forming relationships with people who work for the county.
She says the county also helped her continue her radiological planning career which she will continue when she moves on.
Becekrdite noted on the show that she has appreciated the time and experience in the county and is excited to continue her emergency management career.
Her last day as director is next Thursday (October 5th).
