Manitowoc Lincoln High School senior running back Kenton Beasley had a night last Friday in Green Bay that most could only dream about.
The 5′ 4″, 154-pound speedster rushed for 249 yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground and also reached the endzone on a 20-yard scoring pass from Max Maigatter.
All of that came in the Shipbuilders 40-to-32 victory over the West Wildcats.
Damon Ryan had the call of the game on 107.9 FM WOMT and www.WOMTRadio.com, and here are some of the highlights of Beasley’s night.
Lincoln Coach Greg Enz said Kenton was “phenomenal” and a “difference-maker.”
Enz called Beasley’s performance “probably one of the most dominating single running performances that I’ve been around in a number of years.”
Enz also spoke of Beasley’s special talent and trust, noting “He believes in himself and the guys believe in him. And, sometimes somebody else has to carry the torch and maybe be relied on more and he did.”
Kenton Beasley and his Ships teammates look to keep things rolling this Friday night when they visit Sheboygan South.
