29 employees at St. Norbert College in De Pere are going to be immediately laid off.
Twelve more employees will leave at the end of the semester, the end of the academic year, or the end of 2024.
A statement from the college says while they are financially strong, they are not immune to challenges facing higher education.
It continues to say the college is mindful of the rising costs of postsecondary education can be a burden, but they are working to fix operating costs and create greater efficiency.
