A rest area building along I-43 in northern Manitowoc County is closed.
According to a news release from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Green Bay Office, the Rest Area 52 building near the Village of Denmark is temporarily closed.
WisDOT officials explained the structure off northbound I-43 is currently without electricity.
The parking lot does remain open and portable toilets have been erected on the property until the electrical issue is resolved.
In the meantime, motorists are encouraged to use private facilities for rest area needs.
