The Two Rivers City Council honored Scotty Paulow during their council meeting Monday night (October 2nd).
The council unanimously adopted a resolution to remember the Two Rivers native who loved all things Two Rivers High School sports.
Scotty passed away last month at the age of 65.
He was also a member of the Seehafer Broadcasting team for over 40 years.
The resolution was read by Council President Adam Wachowski which read in part, “Whereas he got an early start in sports as manager for the football and basketball teams from 1973 to 1977. After graduation started a new career as a statistician for football and a scorer for girls’ volleyball teams, a job that continued until his passing.”
Before the moment of silence, the council and members of the Two Rivers Football Team chanted the Raiders chant Scotty would lead.
After the resolution was read, Wachowski said the loss really hits home.
“Here’s a guy what there through thick and thin,” he recalled. “It didn’t matter if the team was 0 for the season or 0 for the last several years, Scotty was right behind those guys every single year. He rode a three-wheel bicycle through sleet, snow, or rain you name it he was there.”
The visitation is set for this Saturday at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Parish from 9 a.m. until noon with a mass of Christian burial to follow.
