The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is getting into the Halloween Spirit with its annual event called Ghost Ships of the Great Lakes Flashlight Tour.
The museum will talk about the SS Kamloops which disappeared into Lake Superior on December 6th, 1927.
A year later a message in a bottle was found and it said “I am the last one left alive, freezing and starving to death on Isle Royale in Lake Superior. I just want Mom and Dad to know my fate.”
Museum Deputy Director and Chief Curator Kevin Cullen will lead the tours at 4:30, and 5:30 for people of any age.
But the 6:30 tour will be for those 18 and older.
The flashlight-guided tour will reveal the stories of the sunken vessels whose spirits are still frozen in time beneath the waves.
The event is free for museum members but tickets for non-members cost $10.
You can go online to the Wisconsin Maritime Museum’s website to get tickets.
The event is Thursday, October 26th.
