Manitowoc residents are being invited to help decorate the city for Halloween in a brand-new event.
Visit Manitowoc is hosting the inaugural Pumpkin Palooza next Wednesday (October 18th).
The free event is open to anybody and is being held in Burger Boat Park, which is directly across from the Manitowoc Public Library on the riverfront.
From 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., participants will be provided pumpkins to carve, which will then be used to adorn the downtown area just in time for the holiday.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own carving tools, however, a limited number of tools and markers will be available.
There will be buckets and tables on site to assist with pumpkin gutting and carving. Anyone under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
Participants are also encouraged to dress in costume to complete the party, which will also feature festive music and treats to help set the Halloween mood.
