The City of Manitowoc-Parks Division reminds motorists that the Lincoln Park roadway and zoo will be closed Thursday afternoon for The Eastern Wisconsin Conference Cross Country Meet.
Park roadways will be closed from 1 to 6:30 p.m. while the zoo will be closed for the day starting at 1 p.m.
Director of Public Infrastructure Dan Koski says that race participants will be entering the Reed Avenue Zoo entrance, then head along the main path past the Education Center building, up the hill and out the main zoo entrance into Lincoln Park for the remainder of the course.
Koski adds the closure is to ensure the safety of race participants and visitors.
