A Brown County Correctional Officer was assaulted by an inmate at the Brown County Correctional Center last Thursday.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office says it happened just after 6 a.m. Other jail staff were able to subdue the inmate and get him restrained without further incident.
The corrections officer was taken to a hospital for treatment and was released later the same morning.
The inmate is still at the jail.
The sheriff’s office says they won’t be releasing any more information until the investigation is complete.
