A man has been charged with repeatedly sexually assaulting a child in Manitowoc.
Manitowoc Police say they arrested the 35-year-old after a caller was concerned about him trespassing.
When the police spoke to the victim at the Sheboygan Police Department- Lakeshore Regional Child Advocacy Center, the person told the police some graphic details of being assaulted.
Police say the victim described being touched in their private area multiple times by the man which caused a lot of pain both physically and emotionally.
The victim said that they didn’t tell anyone about it because they were scared.
The person also spoke about a couple of other incidents of inappropriate touching, including one incident of being in the shower and on a night when the man was charged with domestic battery.
The victim says they never called the police because the man threatened that the police would take away something important to them plus, he would make frequent threats about killing himself and the victim’s family.
Police said when they interviewed the man, he said he did put a couch in front of a door of the home during the domestic violence incident.
The man was charged with 1st and 2nd-degree sexual assault of a child after he was arrested.
