The plan to resettle as many as 75 undocumented immigrants in the Chippewa Valley region is facing ongoing resistance.
A gathering took place at the Eau Claire library last night, where community members voiced their concerns about World Relief Wisconsin’s proposal to relocate these individuals in Eau Claire and its surrounding areas.
Protesters express worries about the housing and employment prospects for the immigrants.
World Relief managers have affirmed their commitment to addressing these concerns.
The relocation plan is scheduled to take effect by the end of the year in Eau Claire.
