A man has been charged with making threats to law enforcement and resisting arrest following disturbances at a Kwik Trip and Rob’s Family Market.
Manitowoc Police say the manager of the Kwik Trip on Menasha Avenue told them the 34-year-old was intoxicated and creating a scene with several customers before eventually walking toward a man filling his Jeep’s tires with air.
The two apparently got into a verbal argument before the suspect walked away toward Rob’s Family Market.
But the man driving the Jeep also went to the grocery store.
When police spoke with the owner Rob’s, he told them that the suspect ended up on the Jeep’s hood when he jumped on it.
The driver ended up driving for some time with the suspect on the hood, but the suspect eventually got off and walked away.
The Jeep driver also ended up driving away.
When police found the suspect, he allegedly fled on foot and wouldn’t stop when asked.
When he was caught, he allegedly resisted the officer trying to arrest him and according to police said, “I’ll kill you.”
Two more officers were able to get the man under control, but he wasn’t cooperating while inside a squad car.
He was also apparently hitting his head inside the vehicle and didn’t want to leave the squad car when he was brought to the Manitowoc County Jail.
