Bail is set at $500 cash for a 34-year-old male suspect who’s been officially charged following disturbances at two Menasha Avenue locations in Manitowoc Wednesday night.
Thomas J. Bellmer, who did not supply an address to the court, is charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, Threatening Law Enforcement and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
Police say that Bellmer was intoxicated and creating a scene at Kwik Trip and walked toward a man when they got into a verbal argument. Both men ended up at Rob’s Family Market, where Bellmer jumped on the other man’s hood of his jeep.
He eventually got off the hood and walked away. When police located him and attempted to take him into custody, he allegedly resisted saying “I’ll kill you.”
Bellmer was subdued a short time later and taken to The Manitowoc County Jail.
Conditions of bail are that Bellmer have “no contact” with The Kwik Trip on Menasha Avenue or Rob’s Family Market and maintain “absolute sobriety.”
He remains in The County Jail with an initial appearance scheduled for October 30th at 1:30 p.m.
