The pilot who was killed in a plane crash in rural Manitowoc County has been identified.
Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig says it was 57-year-old Steven Walker of Keller, Texas.
The crash happened Wednesday morning in the township of Kossuth.
But it’s still not known how Walker died.
Hartwig says no further information is going to be released as the crash is still under investigation.
A search for the plane happened after the Manitowoc County Joint Dispatch Center received a call from the Chicago Center Air Traffic Control Center saying a low-wing aircraft hadn’t arrived.
The plane was later found in pond.
