Archery and crossbow deer season is in full swing, but with this comes the risk of chronic wasting disease.
Now is the perfect time to make your plans for CWD sampling to help slow the spread of this disease.
Submitting a deer sample for CWD testing is free and available around the state.
There are four ways to conveniently test your deer, it can be done at a 24/7 self-service kiosk, at an in-person drop off at one of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources sampling partners, at home lymph node extraction to which you can find instructions on the Department of Natural Resources website, or by appointment with your local DNR staff.
Visit the CWD sampling webpage to find the nearest option.
