Bail is set at $500 cash Wednesday afternoon for a 39-year-old Manitowoc woman after allegedly attempting to steal merchandise from Pick and Save while in possession of cocaine.
Amy S. Jelinek is charged with Possession of Cocaine, Misdemeanor Retail Theft and Nine Counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
Police responded to the store on Calumet Avenue early Tuesday afternoon on a report of a female attempting to steal food valued at $310 and attempting to leave without paying.
A search of her purse revealed that Jelinek was in possession of cocaine, and she was arrested and taken to The County Jail.
Conditions of bail are that Jelinek is not to possess any controlled substance unless prescribed by a doctor, have “no contact” with any known drug dealer or user,
have “no contact with Pick and Save and maintain “absolute sobriety.”
She remains in The County Jail with an initial appearance scheduled for November 6th at 1:30.
