Three area teams will be playing this Friday night for a berth in WIAA State Football championship games in their respective divisions.
Starting out in Division 7, the top-seeded Reedsville Panthers meet Black Hawk/Warren, Illinois in a state semifinal at Elkhorn High School.
The Panthers improved to 12-and-oh with a 20-to-nothing victory over Randolph last Friday.
In the Division-6 semifinals, the #1 seed Kewaunee Storm face Darlington Friday in a game hosted by DeForest. The Storm advanced with an impressive 30-nothing shutout of St. Mary’s Springs of Fond du Lac.
And, in Division-4, Luxemburg-Casco goes up against Catholic Memorial of Waukesha in a semifinal contest set for Kewaskum on Friday night.
The Spartans just ended the Two Rivers Raiders’ outstanding season with a hard-fought 24-21 win at Jerry Bonino Field.
All of those Final 4 ballgames have a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
