On Thursday night, dozens of people gathered outside Green Bay Correctional Institution to hold a prayer vigil for the prisoners and to demand that important reforms be made to enhance living circumstances for both staff members and inmates.
Since June, Green Bay Correctional Institution has been operating under restricted movement or lockdown-like circumstances.
It keeps prisoners from being let out of their cells for things like getting medical care or taking more than one shower a week.
There are at least fifteen different job openings at Green Bay Correctional Institution, ranging from correctional officers to psychologists, nurses, and dentists, according to job posting websites like ZipRecruiter and LinkedIn.
