The Manitowoc Public School District is increasing substitute teacher pay.
Director of Human Resources Mike Nault says because of a substitute teacher shortage, the district wants to increase the daily pay to encourage more people to apply.
The daily pay rate for subs went up from $180 to $225 at the end of October.
Rates do depend on how much experience you have and how often you work.
Nault says the schedule is very flexible and people can choose as few or as many hours as they want.
Anyone interested can drop off their resume at the district office at 2902 Lindbergh Dr or can be sent to kroghk@mpsd.school.
