Four teams were crowned state champions yesterday in Madison.
Edgar took home the Division 7 championship with a dominant 36-6 win over Black Hawk/Warren, while Stratford edged Darlington 10-7 for the Division 6 crown.
The Division 5 gold ball went to Aquinas, as they toppled Wrightstown 32-13.
Closing out yesterday’s action was Lodi taking down Luxemburg-Casco 38-14 to take home the Division 4 championship.
Three games remain to be played, with the Division 3 matchup between Rice Lake and Grafton kicking off at 10:00 a.m.
The Warriors needed to get by La Crosse Logan, Sparta, Onalaska, and Notre Dame to get to Camp Randal Stadium while the Black Hawks took out Wisconsin Lutheran, Port Washington, Menasha, and Stoughton.
In the Division 2 matchup, which is slated for 1:00 p.m., it will be a battle of unbeaten teams, as Waunakee takes on Badger.
The Warriors made short work of Holmen, La Crosse Central, New Richmond, and Kaukauna, while Badger bested Elkhorn, Waukesha West, Kettle Morine, and Sun Prairie East.
And in Division 1, it’s Marquette vs Franklin at 4:00 p.m.
The Hilltoppers are led by Manitowoc native and Roncalli High School grad, Coach Keith Klestinski.
His squad took out Sheboygan North, Bay Port, Fond du Lac, and Kimberly en route to Barry Alvarez Field, while the Sabers made their way through Kenosha Bradford, Oak Creek, Muskego, and Hamilton.
