Bail is set at $2,000 cash for a 31-year-old Manitowoc man for allegedly causing injuries to another man for money owed to him.
Eduardo J. Guido-Rivera is charged with Substantial Battery, Endangering Safety By Use Of A Dangerous Weapon, Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety,
Disorderly Conduct and Felony Bail Jumping.
A Manitowoc Police Officer was flagged down by the victim in the 1000 block of South 14th Street after he was assaulted with a glass bottle.
They told police that he along with two others were drinking in a garage when Guido-Rivera got angry for not getting paid for some work he did for the victim.
Guido-Rivera then allegedly grabbed a broken beer bottle, striking the victim then allegedly went back in the house, grabbed a knife, and began swinging saying he was going to kill him.
A woman who lives at the residence said she grabbed the knife from Guido-Rivera and cut his hand when he tried to get it back.
He allegedly kicked the backseat of the squad car when arrested and, along with the victim, were taken to Holy Family Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Conditions of Bail are that Guido-Rivera have “no contact” with the victims, possess no dangerous weapons and maintain “absolute sobriety.”
He remains in The County Jail with an initial appearance scheduled for November 20th at 1:30.
