An apartment fire in Sheboygan caused about $8,000 in damage.
Assistant Fire Chief Michael Lubbert says firefighters were called to 1000 block of North 8th Street yesterday (November 22nd) morning.
Firefighters entered the building with a fire hose and found heavy smoke and heat on the second floor.
The first crews were able to locate the fire and quickly put it out. The building was later vented and checked for hot spots.
The fire displaced one person. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
