There has been an update on the Manitowoc County Courthouse dome project.
County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer says the county is interviewing engineers for the three-part project, including the windows, HVAC system, and dome renovations.
He reiterates that the windows and HVAC projects will be done first, and then the engineering will take longer for the dome project.
“We’ll shoot for that late next year to go out for bids,” he explained. “And then probably in early 2025, we’ll start on it.”
He says the project will be done in two phases.
The County Board will get a resolution to vote on so they can borrow money for the first phase of the project.
The project was approved by the board back in July.
