A major street in Manitowoc will be closed today (December 7th).
North 8th Street from St. Clair Street to Huron Street will be closed beginning at 7:00 a.m. for water main work.
The City of Manitowoc says northbound traffic will be detoured at St. Clair Street, east to North 7th Street, north on 7th to Huron, and west on Huron Street back to North 8th Street.
Southbound traffic will be detoured at Huron, west to North 9th Street, south on 9th to St. Clair, and east on St Clair back to 8th.
The work is expected to be done by the end of the day, but lane closures might stay in place for road repair to be done.
