A significant milestone has been reached at Shoreline Hometown Credit Union.
They’ve surpassed $100,000 issued in gift certificates for local businesses.
The credit union says members can redeem the points they acquire using their Shoreline Mastercard for Hometown Gift Certificates to local businesses at a discounted rate.
The program has grown to include over 170 Hometown Businesses in its five years.
Community Outreach Officer Kyle Bryntesen says, “It is simply a win-win for members and businesses. The best thing is that we reimburse the business fully for the amount on the gift certificate – so it does not cost the Hometown Businesses anything. The program is truly investing back into our community,”
According to Bryntesen, Shoreline members have spent over $300,000 at local participating businesses during the past six months, and many have been redeeming the 2X Rewards for Hometown Gift Certificates.
