Despite a 25-point blowout loss at number one Arizona Saturday, The Wisconsin Badger Men’s Basketball team remains at number 23 in The AP Media Top 25 Men’s College Basketball Poll released Monday.
They also debut at number 23 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. The 7 and 3 Badgers host Jacksonville State Thursday night.
Marquette stays at 7 in The AP Poll after impressive wins over Texas and Notre Dame last week. Other Big Ten teams in the Media Top 25 are Purdue at number three, Illinois is 16th, and Northwestern cracks the poll at number 25.
The Marquette women hold steady at 19 following their two-point win at Illinois State Sunday, and The Green Bay Phoenix received votes.
South Carolina is unanimous number one, receiving all 36 first-place votes. Iowa of The Big Ten is fourth, Ohio State is 12th, Indiana checks in at 15, while Penn State, Minnesota, Michigan State, and Nebraska all received votes.
