Patricia Kaye Khail, age 86 of Manitowoc, took her final breath on this earth Monday, December 11, 2023 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. She was surrounded by her family and friends praying and singing to her until the very end.
Pat was born on April 19, 1937, in Waupaca, daughter of the late Russell and Beatrice (Drake) Smith. She grew up in Manitowoc and was a 1955 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Pat married her soul mate, Ronald Khail on September 27, 1969 and were married for 51 years until his passing in 2020. She worked at Globe Laundry in the office for 5 years, Aluminum Specialty Company for 14 years, and retiring after 12 years at Kaysun Plastics. After retirement Pat worked part time for Telco.
Pat loved her family very much but loved her Heavenly Father even more. She attended Community Baptist Church, Twin Cities Baptist Church, and Hope Community Church over the years. Pat was an avid sports fan, she loved watching the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Bucks, golf and tennis. Anytime you would go to visit, she always had some sporting event on or otherwise the Game Show Network. Pat loved to read in her free time, especially Danielle Steel books. She always had a crossword puzzle book next to her chair along with her handheld gambling game. Pat enjoyed all types of music especially R&B, her occasional glass of Riesling or mudslide, and going to the casino.
Survivors include her three children: Jeff (Pat) Khail Sr., Kevin (Julie) Khail, and Kari (Chris) Koller, all of Manitowoc; 11 grandchildren: Jamie (Richard) Grainger, Jeffrey Khail Jr., Tami (Dan) Rush, Jason Khail (significant other-Brandi Damman), Steven Khail, Scottie Khail Jr., Emily (Tyler) Duckart, Bailie (Alyssa) Koller, Peter Koller, Lainey Schreiber, and Ryah Schreiber; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Pat is further survived by her best friend Lee McDonough, who was more like a sister to her. They had many years of building incredible memories and lots of laughs together. Also, her good friend from church, Glenna Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her parents: Russell and Beatrice Smith; her husband: Ronald Khail; one son: Scott Khail Sr.; and one sister: Leatrice Stamsta.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S. 14th St, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 5:00 pm. Pat’s cremated remains will be laid to rest at the Knollwood Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask individuals to consider donating to the Lakeshore Humane Society since she loved cats.
