Wisconsin is set to receive a substantial boost of over $5 million in grant money dedicated to improving transportation accessibility.
Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation have earmarked this $5.2 million for services catering to seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Evers highlights the program’s role in aiding people with transportation to work, grocery stores, and medical appointments, noting its long-standing impact since the mid-70s, having supported over 2,000 vehicles.
