A runner from Roncalli High School has committed to participate for a school in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The school says Elizabeth “Libby” Schmidt has signed her national letter of intent with the University of St Thomas.
The daughter of Christel and Andy Schmidt will compete in cross country and track for the Tommies after graduating from Roncalli next spring.
She has been a student-athlete all four years of high school, running cross country and track.
She was the Eastern Wisconsin Conference cross-country champion this year and took a 20th-place finish at the state meet in a field of 152 girls.
She plans to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering in hopes of becoming an aerospace engineer.
