Two people ended up in a hospital after a head-on crash.
A report from the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office showed that one vehicle crossed over into an opposing lane on State Highway 42 in the town of Liberty near Newton Rd Wednesday night around 9:23 pm.
The victim in the crash, who’s from Manitowoc, sustained serious injuries, while the person accused of driving into the wrong lane, also from Manitowoc, had minor injuries.
He was later charged with operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating without a valid license, causing great bodily harm, and deviation from the designated lane.
He was taken to Holy Family Memorial Hospital.
The victim with serious injuries was taken to Aurora BayCare Medical Center. Highway 42 was closed for some time while the crash was cleaned up.
