Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos announced that Republicans will endeavor to redraw the state’s political map.
Citing constitutional authority, Vos intends to exercise the legislature’s power in the wake of the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s rejection of the existing maps as overly gerrymandered.
Anticipating a potential veto from Governor Evers, Vos suggests that the court may delegate map-drawing responsibilities to external experts, a move he believes could favor Democrats in the next election cycle.
