Usually, most people’s New Years resolution involves getting healthier both physically and mentally.
But there are some other resolutions people are making this year.
According to Forbes Health, the top resolution for 2024 for most is to improve fitness, but others this year include improving finances, making more room for loved ones, learning a new skill, improving work-life balance, and meditating regularly.
While there’s been a small shift away from improving mental health, many are planning to use mediation apps to stick to resolutions, which is up from 2022.
To make sure your resolutions don’t end sooner than they began, medical experts recommend creating short-term and long-term goals like only losing a pound per month and making sure to reward yourself not with bad food but purchasing a new workout set or allowing yourself to have one lazy morning in bed.
Resolutions normally last less than 4 months on average, with less than 1% giving up right away and only 6% sticking with the resolution through the entire year.
