Donald Roy Hoff, 86, passed away on January 1, 2024, in Manitowoc, WI.
He was born on April 21, 1937 in Chicago. Donald had a remarkable 60+ year career with IBEW Local 701, where he showcased his exceptional skills as an electrical worker. Don went on to become a SCUBA Dive Master and owned his own shop in Escanaba, MI. He was also known as the builder, owner and operator of Hoff Haus on Washington Island.
Donald had a passion for woodworking and stained glass. He possessed an incredible talent for building and fixing almost anything he came across, earning him a reputation as someone who could tackle any project.
Donald will be deeply missed by his loving partner and best friend, Marilyn, and his daughters Nadine Conner, Natalie (Suzanne) Hoff, and Noreen Davis (Denny). He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Helen Hoff, and his sister, Geri Young.
In addition to his successful career and hobbies, Donald leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of hard work, determination, creativity, good storytelling and a great sense of humor.
Toward the end of his life Don stated “I’ve had a great life. I’ve been able to do everything I wanted”. May we all remember to live that kind of life. Don and his family would like to express our gratitude for all the care and services he received through the years at Felician Village.
Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and a memorial service will take place at 12:00 p.m. Noon on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 628 North Water Street, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at noon. Following the service, a luncheon will be held for family and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, located on the southside property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
