The Two Rivers City Council is looking forward to what is coming in the new year.
During their city council meeting yesterday (January 3rd), the group followed up on numerous budget items, including a discussion on new squad cars for the police department and continued infrastructure.
Two Rivers City Manager Greg Buckley explained the next steps in the city’s ongoing road reconstruction project.
“The budget for this year provides for continued capital investment,” Buckley tells Seehafer News. “Our major street project will be reconstruction of Roosevelt Street on the city’s south side. That’s about a $5.2 million project including not only the street but the underground utilities.”
Buckley also exclaimed excitement for the growth of a new residential area.
“The budget also provides funding for the extension of street and utility infrastructure for the next phase of the Sandy Bay residential subdivision,” he explained. “We saw about 7 new homes go up in that area for 2023 and look forward to continuing to see new development and tax base in that area.”
The City of Two Rivers appears eager to bring these projects to life.
