Probable cause was found during a preliminary hearing Thursday afternoon that a Green Bay man is responsible for the deaths of two female relatives in a fatal Christmas Day crash in Manitowoc County.
38-year-old Phillip Slezewski appeared with his public defender in Judge Robert Dewane’s courtroom on charges of two counts of knowingly operating a vehicle with a suspended license causing death, two counts of knowingly operating a vehicle with a suspended license causing great bodily harm, possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Killed in the crash were 38-year-old Heather Arcaro-Slezweski and 71-year-old Clarice Slezweski, both of Green Bay.
Judge Dewane also amended cash bail from $300,000 to $10,000 at the request of the defense, with no specific reason (s) provided as to why the request was made.
Slezweski remains in The County Jail as a deadline of February 16th was given to the District Attorney’s Office to file a sentencing offer to the court.
