Tax reform is something Republicans in Madison still want to get done.
Wisconsin Senate Majority Leader and 9th District State Senator Devin LeMahieu says some changes were supposed to be made in the bi-annual state budget.
He says the Senate wanted to reduce a third tax bracket, which is people making up to $405,000, and move to the second bracket and then make reductions in the three other tax brackets and later eliminate the third bracket.
However, LeMahieu says Governor Tony Evers vetoed 95% of the income tax cut and the third bracket, claiming that a family making over $400,000 is not in the middle class.
The next step is to move a lower bracket up to try and get a signature for a tax reform.
