As they enter the final month of the season, the Manitowoc United Hockey team is starting to find their stride.
After falling to Waupaca 6-1 on January 6th, the team comprised of players from numerous Manitowoc County High Schools began scoring.
A lot.
They put up three points on WNS, with one coming in a shootout, two more against a very good goalie from Middleton, and then unloaded for six more against the same outstanding netminder.
That game on January 21st could have been much more lopsided, but Benjamin Schaumann stood on his head in the Friday/Saturday doubleheader.
In their last game a week ago, United put three more in the Oshkosh net.
This is a stark contrast to the start of the season when they struggled to score more than one goal per game.
The team is back in action tonight as they are traveling to the Marinette Community REC Center for a 7:30 puck drop.
