There are only a few days left for groups to apply for a grant through Visit Manitowoc.
The Discover Manitowoc Grant gives assistance through the Manitowoc Room Tax Commission and Department of Tourism to bring events to fruition and more visitors to events held in the city.
Previous projects that used this grant include Lights in Lincoln Park, Miss Harbor Cities, Manitowoc Garde Faire Extraordinaire, and the Maritime Bay Classic.
Visit Manitowoc Executive Director Courtney Hanson says funds are limited and will be awarded by the city’s Room Tax Commission.
While new events are given priority, established events can also apply.
There is a three-year funding limit through the program, and all applications are due by this Thursday (February 15th).
