A local homeless shelter is participating in a statewide drive.
The Haven Executive Director Michael Etheridge says the organization is looking for donations for the Help the Homeless Hygiene drive.
It’s exactly like it sounds: the organization is collecting hygiene products for people in need.
The drive is helping over 100 crisis organizations across the nineteen communities in Wisconsin, including Manitowoc. Etheridge says they are looking for:
“Deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, toilet paper, paper towel, just all different types of hygiene products needed.” He told Seehafer News.
Usually, about $11 to 13 thousand dollars-worth of products are collected and distributed through the drive.
There are several collection sites around Manitowoc.
The drive goes on until March 3rd.
