The Haven Men’s Homeless Shelter is getting ready for its annual St. Patrick’s Day-themed event.
Shamrocks for Shelter will be back at Knox’s Silver Valley
The popular event took a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic but returned in 2023.
Executive Director Michael Etheridge says it’s time to register your bean bag team, a tradition from the beginning.
There will also be plenty of food, music, and plenty of silent auction items.
Last year, about 350 people showed up, and he’s hoping for more this year.
“(We are) looking forward to another good year,” he tells Seehafer News. “It’s a really awesome fundraiser, and it’s open to the community, so we’re just looking for everyone to come out and have a good time.”
The event is set for Saturday, March 16th, with doors opening around 10:30 a.m.
All proceeds for the event go back to The Haven.
