The two people charged in connection with missing 3-year-old Elijah Vue are asking for preliminary hearings.
31-year-old Katrina Baur and 39-year-old Jesse Vang appeared in Judge Robert Dewane’s courtroom Monday (February 26th) and asked that they wave the reading of the charges and ask for a hearing.
Vang has been charged with child neglect, and Baur has been charged with child neglect as a party to the crime after Vue was last seen at an apartment complex that Vang lives at in the 3900 block of Mishicot Rd. in Two Rivers at 8 am last Tuesday.
An active Amber Alert was then sent out around 3 that afternoon.
Volunteers, who’ve been searching for almost a week for Vue will restart their search tomorrow after taking a day off to rest. Baur and Vang will be back in court on March 7th at 10:30 am.
During their bail setting, District Attorney Jackie LeBre said last week that Baur sent Elijah to Vang’s apartment for “disciplinary purposes.”
